Inside Athletics

Welcome Letter

St. Rose High School encourages all students to participate in our interscholastic athletic programs. We offer 26 varsity level sports for our students. Each of these programs play an important part in teaching young men and women to conduct themselves with honesty and integrity, strive for excellence, persevere through adversity, make sacrifices for the greater good, and compete with dignity no matter the results.

Our administration, coaches, and staff are committed to providing an atmosphere that is challenging, caring, and supportive in order to build an environment where our student-athletes can reach their full potential both athletically, academically, and spiritually.

Included in this document you will find information related to each of our varsity athletic programs offered during either the fall, winter, or spring seasons. Specifically, you will find email contact information, and summer workout information (teams from all seasons conduct optional workouts through the summer months prior to beginning the fall season).

If you are interested in participating in a particular athletic program, I encourage you to reach out to that coach using the contact information listed. Get involved early and it will pay dividends for you in the long run! Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions about St. Rose Athletics at [email protected].

  6. Review the instructions, select the appropriate fall sport, and verify all contact information.
  7. The form will present various policies, procedures, agreements, and NJSIAA required disclosures for you to review and complete.
  8. While a physical is necessary, you're not required to upload it during registration. Instead, input the physical's date and leave the upload question blank. Please ensure that you've submitted a copy of the Medical Eligibility form to the health office.
  9. After completing the registration, our Athletics Department and Health Office will review your responses and verify your child's eligibility.
  10. The final part of the registration involves health history questions. Respond to the 13 questions regarding your child's health history since their last physical. If any questions are answered "yes," provide additional context at the bottom of the form.
  11. Click the "Update Answers" green button at the bottom of the form to submit the registration. If any required fields are missed, the system will prompt you to complete them.  Once all required questions are answered, and you press the "Update Answers" button, your sports registration will be successfully submitted to the school.

Checking Eligibility Status:

Parents and students can monitor the eligibility status through the Genesis Portal. Simply click on "Athletics" in the sidebar menu to access this information.

We sincerely appreciate your participation and engagement in this process. The Genesis Parent Portal will serve as a valuable tool to keep you informed about your child's academic progress and extracurricular activities.

Didn't get credentials for the Genesis Portal?:

You could also go to the Parent Portal and click "Forgot Password."  Genesis will send you an email with a new PW if you have an active account.

The MAAC is one of the most traditional and legendary gymnasiums in the Shore Conference. Walking into the banner laden court makes one appreciate the great tradition of St. Rose athletics. It has recently gone through some amazing upgrades, and is a wonderful place to watch any sporting event.
