Engaging in the arts can be a surprising journey of self discovery, during which new passions are revealed and new doors are opened.
Find the artist in you!
The Visual Arts program encourages creative and mental growth within a supportive studio art setting and provides a wide variety of media for 2D and 3D arts. Participation in the Performing Arts program builds technique, confidence, critical-thinking skills, musicianship, self-discipline, and the satisfaction of being an integral part of a group.
A Place for Everyone
From talented musicians to compelling actors, from inspiring vocalists to powerful photographers, from skilled fine artists to experimental creators and entertainers, Central student-artists are awe-inspiring.
Here, students expand and exhibit their talents in an arts program that is broad and flexible enough to inspire unlimited self-expression – and their passion and skills are reflected in their one-of-a-kind personal creations.
OUR ARTS PROGRAMS
Here, the arts challenge students to make connections across disciplines, boost their creativity, dig deep, and strive to improve. When our artists step beyond our school and into the professional world, they're not only prepared with standout portfolios and audition materials, but also the diverse skills and personal resilience needed to live an artistic life.
VISUAL ARTS
Creativity, collaboration, technique, and self-expression all take the spotlight in the performing arts curriculum, providing for the development of individual talents and teamwork.
Students have numerous opportunities to develop their talents in the visual arts. They can take introductory courses in Visual Arts and higher level courses in Painting & Drawing, Photography/Composition, and Studio Art, including an AP course.
The work of student-artists is displayed throughout the school, and featured during the annual Tenn Arts Program and our Art Expo each spring.

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows, Little Shop Of Horrors, the charmingly tongue-in-cheek comedy has been produced worldwide to incredible success with technical aspects running the gamut from Broadway to PTA budgets.
SpringLake Community House
In collaboration with the Spring Lake Community House, we find a cherished home for our Spring Musical – a place where the slogan, "There’s Always Something Wonderful Happening Here," truly comes to life. Celebrating 37 years of thriving Children’s Theatre and Dance Programs, our partnership extends beyond a shared space; it's a testament to the enduring success of our programs.
The vibrant history of the Community House unfolds through the stories of our teachers, many of whom were once students themselves. From their initial experiences to becoming performers, designers, directors, and choreographers, these individuals continually elevate our Broadway-quality Theatre productions. Each rendition surpasses the last, showcasing the extraordinary talents nurtured within the Community House.
The mutual benefit is evident as the success of our collaborative programs contributes to the vitality of the building itself. We express heartfelt gratitude for the enriching partnership with the Spring Lake Community House – a connection that not only fosters artistic growth but also sustains a thriving cultural hub.
