Joseph Seib Named Valedictorian of the St. Rose High School Class of 2025
Belmar, NJ — May 6, 2025 — St. Rose High School proudly announces Joseph Seib as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2025. An exceptional scholar-athlete, Joseph has distinguished himself through an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, athletic performance, and personal discipline during his four years at St. Rose.
In the fall, Joseph will attend Cornell University, where he will study Engineering and compete as a member of the Division I Men’s Track & Field Team. Joseph’s academic and athletic pursuits are a testament to his tireless work ethic and unshakable determination—qualities he attributes to years of consistent effort and support from his parents and the St. Rose community.
“Being named Valedictorian shows that all of my hard work and dedication was worth it,” said Joseph. “There were times I questioned why I was pushing so hard, but in the end, this honor proves the value of staying focused and believing in yourself.”
Joseph’s academic journey began with challenge and resilience, taking AP World History as a freshman—a college-level course that tested his resolve early on. That experience, coupled with rigorous senior courses like AP Calculus, laid the foundation for his success. He balanced his academic pursuits with a robust extracurricular schedule that included Varsity Ice Hockey, Winter and Spring Track, National Honor Society, and Chess Club.
“Throughout high school, I found motivation in daily discipline,” he said. “I prioritized academics and athletics, saving free time for the weekends. That routine became my key to success.”
Outside of school, Joseph gave back to his community through volunteer work with Barn for the Poor at Delicious Orchards and his job at Vic’s Restaurant in Bradley Beach.
A source of inspiration for Joseph has been the story of Tom Brady—a reminder that perseverance and belief can overcome any obstacle. “His journey taught me that it’s never over until it’s over. That mindset has driven me in everything I do.”
Reflecting on his time at St. Rose, Joseph shared that the school community played a significant role in shaping him. “St. Rose is filled with amazing people who truly care. Whether it’s the administration, teachers, or classmates, everyone is rooting for each other. That kind of support made a big difference in my journey.”
As he prepares to graduate, Joseph looks forward to a future of academic and athletic achievement at Cornell and deepening his faith and personal growth.
