Blank Canvas

Blank Canvas

When art is being made, the canvas starts blank.

It’s bare, boring, and just all the others.

Just like me.

As time went on, began to gain personality and experience,

the way a canvas gains paint.

The years drag on and I gained character,

Much like a canvas as layers are added.

Some problems are as small as spilling some paint on your hand, and having to take a break and wipe it off.

Others are as large as painting too hard and popping the canvas, and having to begin from the start.

As I faced small and large problems in life, I learned the difference between the two.

I learned about pain from experience.

When one gets a glue gun burn it hurts, but the skin would come back.
