Return to school on 1/27

Good afternoon Students and Parents,

I hope you are well! We are anxiously anticipating the return of our students on Wednesday and are hopeful that we will be open for the remainder of the school year. Recent numbers are encouraging, as hospitalizations for COVID-19 are on the decline and indications are favorable for an increase of the availability of vaccines.

Tomorrow marks the 90th day of the school year and we have been 100% Virtual 20 of the 90 days.  It may seem to be more, as those 20 days have all been since Thanksgiving break. For many, many reasons our students and teachers need to be in the school building. In order for that to happen, we all need to be diligent and follow the CDC recommendations in order to be safe and healthy.

Those recommendations are as follows:

  • Wear a mask indoors

  • Social distance at least 6 feet apart

  • Avoid any large indoor and outdoor gatherings

  • Stay at home when you are sick

  • Wash hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds

  • Cover coughs and sneezes and properly dispose of tissues

  • Limit close contact with people who are sick and do not share food, drinks, or utensils

  • Continue to monitor your health for symptoms

  • Avoid touching your face

Sadly, there have been more than 400,000 deaths in our country attributed to the Coronavirus.  Please continue to pray for those lost souls and their families, and for the health and well being of our students, staff, and members of our St. Rose Community.

May God’s Blessings be with All of You,

John F. Tonero

Principal
