NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF SPRING ATHLETICS

Dear St. Rose Students and Parents,

Through all of the trials and tribulations that we have been through over the course of the past few months, many of us held out hope that we might just be able to salvage a shortened athletic season this spring. Yesterday, we learned that regrettably will not be possible. Due to Governor Murphy’s order that all schools will remain closed until the end of the school year, all school athletic programs must cancel their seasons.

I would like to personally commend our student-athletes for their perseverance through the difficult time that we have been through since we abruptly left school after spending nearly a week practicing and preparing for the upcoming season with your respective teams. Many of you have continued to attend online team meetings with your coaches and worked out on your own with the hope that we could have some sort of season this spring. I encourage you all to use the time that we have left this spring to continue to improve yourselves athletically, academically, and spiritually. It is also time to look ahead to the approaching summer period when you all (hopefully) can begin summer workouts with your coaches and teammates. 

St. Rose is committed to doing the best that we can to conduct as many normal end of season and end of year activities that we are able to. In the coming weeks we will be honoring our senior athletes by painting their numbers on their respective fields and arranging photographs. We are also in the midst of planning a virtual Senior Athletics Awards Ceremony as well. Information will be released with more details in the near future.

Thank you all for your commitment to St. Rose and St. Rose Athletics. We value you all and we miss you! We look forward to seeing everyone again soon at school, in the MAAC, and at our athletic complex!
