Guidance Department

The St. Rose Guidance Department plays an integral role in providing the highest quality school counseling services to every student in collaboration with parents, faculty, and administration. We believe the best preparation for the future is a strong academic and spiritual foundation. While attending St. Rose High School students will meet with their counselor throughout their four years of attendance for a variety of reasons including but not limited to the following:

  • Academic skills support & planning
  • Post-secondary planning and application process
  • Career planning
  • Education in understanding self and others
  • Coping strategies
  • Peer relationships and effective social skills
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution and study skills
  • Career awareness and the world of work

  • Signs of Suicide Prevention Awareness
  • Multicultural/diversity awareness
  • Academic, Career, and Goal planning
  • Problem solving
  • Education in understanding of self, including strengths and weaknesses

  • Individual/family/school crisis intervention

  • Tutoring Services
  • Referrals -as needed on a case by case basis
  • Individual/Family Consultation, collaboration and teaming about academic choices and planning
